Overview
Saul is a 2019 coffee-table family by Jean-Marie Massaud. Arper combines broad round, square and rectangular tops with four inclined legs, describing the result as solid yet lightweight.
Construction
The representative round model 6707 has a four-leg base in painted aluminium and a painted smoked-glass top. Its wide surface rests on the slender supporting structure.
Specifications
Model 6707 has an 84 cm diameter and a 36.5 cm height. For the circular top, width and depth are both recorded as 84 cm.
Histoire
A supporting surface
Arper presents Saul as a reliable companion to sofas and other furniture. The design places visual emphasis on the relationship between a broad surface and a light four-leg support.
Material presence
Jean-Marie Massaud's family uses the top finish to give material weight to the composition while the inclined legs keep the profile graceful. Round, square and rectangular formats extend this idea across several low-table shapes.
