Wall-mounted shelf
PROFIL is a wall shelf designed by Jörg Schellmann. e15 connects its sculptural character with Minimal Art and produces the aluminium form as a single extruded piece with a continuous cross section.
Configuration
The shelf can be mounted in either orientation and may be ordered with side panels. Standard powder-coated finishes are offered in three manufacturer colours, with custom colours available on request.
Representative size
The stored configuration without side panels measures 1000 × 260 × 160 mm.
Histoire
From continuous profile to shelf
Jörg Schellmann designed PROFIL in 2012. Its form follows the extrusion process: aluminium passes through a continuous cross-sectional profile so the shelf can be made in one piece with a finished surface.
Minimal Art reference
e15 explicitly associates PROFIL with Minimal Art and describes the object as sculptural. Optional side panels, reversible mounting and two standard lengths allow the reduced section to form different wall compositions without changing its basic profile.
