Storia
A perimeter without construction work
Lievore Altherr conceived Paravan as an architectural element that can be placed inside an existing room. Its panels draw a perimeter around conversation, focused work or waiting without becoming a permanent partition. The softened outline prevents the system from reading as a conventional wall.
Modularity with added functions
Straight and curved panels can form open lines, corners, circles and enclosures. Arper supplements those arrangements with Paravan Mood accessories, allowing the partition to hold books, notes, magazines and small objects while retaining its acoustic role.
The gallery shows a three-sided enclosure around a table and a studio overview of straight and curved configurations (gallery:1; gallery:2).
