Palinfrasca Outdoor Armchair

Compact outdoor armchair

The Palinfrasca armchair distils the range into a single-seat form. Molteni&C highlights its curved, enclosing teak frame, compact proportions and a pronounced warp-and-weft pattern across the seat and back.

Armchair construction

The official page describes solid teak shaped into the armchair's curves and hand-finished surfaces. Its broad weave supplies the seat-and-back pattern, while the shared technical sheet specifies outdoor cushions with waterproof polyester-fibre coverings and a removable fabric cover.

PPO08 dimensions

The PPO08 armchair measures 86 × 86 cm. Its largest vertical value is 67 cm; that value is not labelled with an axis on the drawing.

One-seat expression

Molteni&C describes the armchair as the most concentrated expression of the Palinfrasca themes. Reducing the design to one seat gives the enclosing frame and enlarged woven rhythm a particularly clear presence.

Surface and rhythm

The page focuses on the relationship between the hand-finished frame and the repeated bands across the back and sides. Their alternating arrangement gives texture to the outer shell while leaving visible gaps through the pattern.
