Overview
Midnight is an upholstered bed designed by Roberto Lazzeroni and dated 2012 by Flexform. Its padded headboard curves forward at both sides, while the bed base is framed in solid wood.
Construction
The headboard combines a metal core, shaped polyurethane and a laminated protective covering. Solid wood forms the lower structure, with foam padding beneath another protective cover. A metal platform carries wood slats in two sections.

Reworking the bed base
Flexform presents Midnight as a reinterpretation of a traditional bed base, with altered lines and proportions and an emphasis on tailoring details. The forward-curving sides of the padded headboard are the principal formal gesture described on the product page.
