Solid hardwood construction
Land Table uses North American hardwood sourced within 350 miles of Herman Miller's West Virginia manufacturing facility. Reinforced mortise-and-tenon joints connect the trestle base, while two metal stiffeners control movement in the planked top.
Three lengths
The line spans approximately 75, 99, and 126 in, each at 39.4 in deep and 29.5 in high. The representative Walnut store configuration is the 120 in retail version.
Designed for longevity
Stine Aas drew on Norwegian woodworking, farm-table precedents, and the Arts and Crafts movement. Herman Miller makes the table in the US and presents it as an everyday piece intended to pass between generations.
Geschichte
Traditions gathered into a modern table
Stine Aas looked to her Norwegian heritage and the farmland around her when developing Land. The exposed timber structures of Norwegian cabins and holiday homes, along with Arts and Crafts values, informed a contemporary interpretation of a farm table.
The first Land pieces
Aas's own portfolio dates Land Table to 2025 and identifies it as a Herman Miller project in three lengths. The dining table belongs to her first collection for the manufacturer, alongside a console and credenza built around the same emphasis on hardwood and lasting construction.
