Houdini - with armrest

Overview

Houdini with armrest is Stefan Diez's 2009 armchair for e15. It belongs to the Houdini chair family and uses scaled construction to create a robust yet physically light seat.

Construction

The curved back and armrest wrap around a generously proportioned seat. Oak veneer is clear lacquered or lacquered in published colours, with upholstery available for the seat, back and arms.

The armed Houdini chair

Stefan Diez developed this model as the armchair within e15's Houdini family. The continuous curved back-and-arm element distinguishes it from the side chair while retaining the family's light physical presence.

Upholstery choices

The chair may remain unupholstered or receive fixed upholstery on the seat, back and armrests. e15 allows fabric and leather categories, with the selected parts covered in the same upholstery where specified.
