Horizontal outdoor element
Green Point Bench is Vincent Van Duysen's long, multipurpose seat for Molteni&C. Its low, linear composition is designed to be moved and rearranged within outdoor settings.
Frame and weave
A burnished painted aluminium band bends into the bench's sled-like bases. Dense polypropylene rope is woven by hand around the frame, and an optional cushion uses shaped polyurethane beneath waterproof polyester fibre.
Two lengths
The GPA14 drawing prints 140, 50 and 46 cm without axis labels. GPA20 prints 200, 50 and 46 cm in the same drawing orientation.
Histoire
The line becomes a bench
Within Molteni&C's Timeout Collection, the recurring metal band is slowed into an emphatically horizontal form. Green Point Bench turns that device into a seat without a back, combining an agile bent base with a taut woven plane.
A distinct member of the family
The bench is not simply a chair stretched sideways. Its official description emphasises freedom of use and mobility, while the technical sheet provides two purpose-made lengths and corresponding cushions and protective covers.
