A compact four-spoke table

Fred is Arper's table family by Jean-Marie Massaud. Its visual identity comes from an aluminium base split into four spokes, supporting round or square tops with deliberately clean lines.

Formats and construction

The official collection page records two heights and several sizes. Tops are made in MDF, while article 0966 pairs an 80 cm round embossed-white MDF top with a glossy or painted aluminium base. Its official 2D drawing labels an overall height of 74 cm.

Contract flexibility

Arper positions Fred across residential and contract use, particularly hospitality settings. The sturdy pedestal construction keeps the floor area open while adapting to different top shapes and heights.

The official article credits Jean-Marie Massaud and dates the selected Fred design to 2007. Arper describes the result through economy: a strong base, clean lines and a form intended to fit many situations.

One base, several roles

Fred retains its four-spoke identity as the top changes from round to square and the height shifts between documented options. This repeated structure lets the family serve dining, meeting and hospitality layouts without changing its essential character.
