Fariba

Overview

Fariba is Philipp Mainzer's 2002 sideboard for e15. Its vertical presentation of solid-wood grain is set above a seamless steel or stainless-steel frame.

Construction

The 20 mm solid-wood body has mitre-polished frame edges, bevelled drawer sides that act as handles and one solid-wood shelf in each case. An adjustable foot supports levelling.

Specifications

• Three-door version: 1350 × 450 × 1125 mm
• Two-door version: 900 × 450 × 1125 mm
• Body: European oak or European walnut
• Frame: brushed stainless steel or powder-coated steel

Grain held vertically

The manufacturer singles out Fariba's vertical grain display. The tall cabinet body turns the continuous solid-wood surface into the defining face, while the narrow metal structure lifts it clear of the floor.

Concealed handling

Fariba's drawer sides carry an end-to-end bevel that functions as a handle. This detail preserves the uninterrupted front while the internal shelf and adjustable foot address storage and installation.
