ESU书柜系由查尔斯·伊姆斯与蕾·伊姆斯设计，Vitra官网标注设计年份为1949年。该独立式储物柜高四层单元，将抽屉、推拉门与开放式搁板完美结合。
结构工艺
黑色粉末喷涂金属框架搭配桦木胶合板搁板（枫木贴面）、粉末喷涂铝板以及漆面模压胶合板推拉门；柜脚可单独调节水平。
规格参数
宽1200 mm，深430 mm，高1480 mm。 面板提供83号浅蓝、25号丁香灰、85号浅棕褐、84号伊姆斯红与86号锈橙五种配色。
故事
推拉门
伊姆斯基金会指出，原版伊姆斯储物柜的薄型胶合板推拉门采用带圆形凹槽的模压工艺。查尔斯与蕾早在1946年便为其原创柜体研发了这种门型。Vitra官网显示，书柜的推拉门为漆面模压胶合板，与抽屉并列设计。
单一单元
该书柜为一体式结构，共四层单元高，宽1200 mm，深430 mm，高1480 mm；图纸中并未呈现多单元组合方案。
