Portable seating
Caper Stacking Chair is Jeff Weber's lightweight chair for casual, short-term seating. Herman Miller states that the armless version with a moulded seat weighs 9.5 lb, stacks six high on the floor, and stacks 15 high on a Caper Cart. Optional ganging connectors join chairs in rows.
Seat and back
The moulded seat and back use glass-filled nylon, with contours for comfort and flexibility for give. Perforations release heat and moisture. An optional FLEXNET suspension seat is offered as an alternative to the moulded seat.
Histoire
Accessible design
Jeff Weber set out to make comfortable, mobile seating affordable. Herman Miller's design story records his aim to challenge the idea that good design must be expensive, while using standard materials in novel ways to support performance and comfort.
