Overview

Foster + Partners' Arc Outdoor translates the original table's techno-structural idea into a single-size, all-cement design. The round top and branching base share one material and finish.

Construction

Molteni&C specifies ultra-high-performance concrete for both top and base, with plastic ferrules. Every component is finished in Dolomite grey.

The official drawing labels the round top Ø150 cm. It also prints 71.5 and 73.5 cm vertically without naming either value as the overall height for this version.

Architecture at table scale

Molteni&C connects Arc to the advanced techno-structures of contemporary architecture. Foster + Partners compresses that structural reference into a branching base that supports a circular top while maintaining a continuous sculptural profile.

Outdoor reinterpretation

The outdoor version replaces the mixed-material possibilities of the interior Arc with one all-cement specification. A single Dolomite grey finish gives the top and base the same visual character, reinforcing the table's monolithic expression.
