Story
A small armchair from 1957
The press text dates the small armchair to 1957 and pictures the designers thinking of an aperitif or a salon conversation. It describes a light-footed and charming air, and a chair for taking a seat rather than lolling around.
The 1950s setting
The product page places the chair in a decade in Germany marked by a zest for life and recovery, with a new prosperity and a forward-looking lifestyle. The slightly larger armchair of the range is called a Gentleman's Chair in the press text.
