Thau & Kallio è il duo di designer formato da Jakob Thau e Sami Kallio. Thau è nato in Svezia, cresciuto in Danimarca e ha conseguito un master presso la Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Design; Kallio è nato in Finlandia, cresciuto in Svezia e ha conseguito un master in design presso la Gothenburg School of Design and Crafts. Entrambi sono ebanisti di formazione.
Stile distintivo
&Tradition sostiene che i due siano affascinati dai materiali e dai metodi e condividano una profonda affinità per il legno e l'artigianato manuale, con un'attenzione precisa alle componenti che costituiscono un progetto. Applicano tecniche classiche in nuove espressioni per rivitalizzare la narrazione nordica.
