Simone Spalvieri and Valentina Del Ciotto, both born in 1982, met in 2003. They studied Industrial Design and Interior Design respectively at Milan Politecnico before building a shared personal and professional practice.

Simone Spalvieri and Valentina Del Ciotto, both born in 1982, met in 2003. They studied Industrial Design and Interior Design respectively at Milan Politecnico before building a shared personal and professional practice.
From Milan and London to Tolentino
After living and working in Milan and London, the pair moved their base to Tolentino. Zanotta describes their studio as a meeting place for ideas, research and experimentation, guided by formal and functional purity.
Design approach
Their stated aim is to make new materials and technologies easier for people to understand and use. Zanotta records their 2013 Top Young Italian Industrial Designers Prize and international recognition including Red Dot, China Good Design and German Design awards. They have worked with Zanotta since 2020.
