Shiro Kuramata
仓俣史郎（Shiro Kuramata）1934年出生于东京，1991年去世。他先后在东京工艺大学（Tokyo Polytechnic）和桑泽设计研究所（Kuwazawa Institute for Design）学习建筑与室内设计。1957年至1963年任职于三越百货（Maysuya）*，1965年在东京创立了自己的工作室——仓俣设计事务所（Kuramata Design Office）。

标志性风格
他的家具将超现实与极简主义的语汇融入日常物件之中，并日益钟情于亚克力与钢材。旧金山现代艺术博物馆（SFMOMA）形容他1980年代的透明椅子“几乎若隐若现”。
