배경
론안 부루얼렉(Ronan Bouroullec, 1971년 출생)과 에르완 부루얼렉(Erwan Bouroullec, 1976년 출생)은 브르타뉴 지방 캥페르 출신의 형제입니다. 론안은 파리 국립고등장식미술학교(École nationale supérieure des arts décoratifs)에서 공부했으며, 에르완은 처음에 형의 작업을 돕다가 파리-세르지 국립고등예술학교(École nationale supérieure d'arts de Paris-Cergy)를 졸업했습니다. 두 사람은 1998년부터 파리 스튜디오에서 함께 작업해 왔습니다.
